[ Mark wasn't sure how much longer they were going to be on this train, but all things considered, it hadn't been so bad. It really hadn't been so bad.. lately. That made him suspicious of whatever was going to be in the next car over.
By now, he's gotten a lot more comfortable (and physical) with his partner, and the last few doors they have opened, he always made sure to hold Rex's hand before pushing down the lever and revealing what was in the next car. His number had been going down significantly, but truth be told, he hadn't been paying too much attention to it. It was easy for him to focus on a partner when he wasn't being summoned left and right to prevent the city from catching on fire or invaded by aliens or both.
This next door isn't handled any differently. Mark pushes down the lever with one hand and keeps hold of Rex's hand with the other. They cross over to the next car and when they open it.. they see what appears to be an endless library.
Of course, Mark brightens up. ]
Oh my God! You think there's comic books in here? I haven't read a comic book in forever!
[ Ah. And off he goes, not even paying attention to the ping on their device with a new objective:
Learn something new about someone. Mark is going to find out very quickly that the "books" that are lined up on the shelves are actually VHS tapes. ]
